Welcome to SG Mental Health Counseling, a community-centered agency with over 20 years of dedicated service. If you’re seeking compassionate, professional support, you’ve come to the right place. We specialize in providing community-based mental health counseling and case management services to children, young adults, and geriatric adults.

Our services support individuals facing a variety of life challenges, such as managing medical conditions, navigating major life transitions, coping with depression and anxiety, overcoming socioeconomic obstacles, and healing from trauma.

As part of our community-based approach, we bring care directly to where it’s needed most—working within schools, homes, and neighborhoods to ensure everyone has access to the mental health services they need. Our focus is on building strong, supportive relationships that create lasting change for individuals and families.

We proudly offer our Wellness Navigator Program, a unique initiative designed for youth ages 5 and up, which is based on the five pillars of social-emotional learning. This program teaches critical social skills while also strengthening the child-parent relationship to promote emotional resilience and personal growth.

For college students, our UThrive program provides mental health support to those attending University of Florida, Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University, Santa Fe Community College, Florida Gulf Coast University, Florida State University, and Tallahassee State College. Students living in scholarship housing through the Southern Scholarship Foundation can access free individual counseling, group sessions, and workshops tailored to their needs.

At SG Mental Health Counseling, we take a whole-person approach to mental health care, considering not just the individual but also their environment, lifestyle, and learning needs. Located in Tallahassee’s Promise Zone, our mission is to empower and educate by normalizing mental health care within the community.

Whether you’re seeking support for yourself, your child, or a college student, we invite you to explore how SG Mental Health Counseling can help guide you on your path to healing and growth.
